Jack Delaney has over a decade of experience counseling investment advisers, investment funds and broker-dealers, and is responsible for overseeing Cboe Vest’s legal and compliance functions.
Before joining Cboe Vest, Mr. Delaney held in-house counsel positions at National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and The Rock Creek Group LP, where he advised on regulatory, compliance, securities and corporate governance matters, including the formation of both registered and private funds and the structuring of separately managed accounts. While at NRECA, Mr. Delaney also served as internal legal counsel and board secretary of Homestead Funds, a family of mutual funds founded by NRECA.
Prior to that, Mr. Delaney was an associate at Ruddy Gregory PLLC (formerly Ruddy Law Office), focusing on alternative investments and regulatory compliance matters.
Mr. Delaney began his career in FINRA’s Office of Fraud Detection and Market Intelligence in the Fraud Surveillance Group, where he investigated a wide range of cases involving issuer fraud and trading manipulation. He earned his law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, where he received a Bachelor of Science in commerce with a concentration in finance. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
